Nam Na 2 hydropower project is located in Lai Chau province, started construction in May 2009, with a installed capacity of Nlm=66MW.

The main parameters of the project:

- Installed capacity: Nlm=66 MW

- Average annual electricity: E0=254.11 million KWh

- Weir structure made of gravity concrete, dam crest elevation 264.5m, dam crest length 58m, maximum height 24.5m

- Structural reinforced concrete spillway, non-vacuum Ofixerov type, spillway width 61m, maximum height 33.5m, has 4 overflow chambers, each cavity width 13m, valve opening and closing by hydraulic cylinder force

- Design flood discharge volume Q0.5%=4,810 m3/s, test flood discharge Q0.1%= 6,120 m3/s;

- Maximum flow through the factory: Qmax= 444 m3/s;
