Participating in the tournament will be 80 pilots from 15 countries around the world. The pilots will depart from Si Thau Chai village, a community tourist site of the Dao with an altitude of more than 1,400 meters, then land at Tam Duong District Stadium.

Putaleng International Paragliding Tournament 2019, also known as "Putang XC Open 2019", is the first long-distance paragliding tournament held in Vietnam. This is also the first paragliding tournament in Vietnam approved by the International Air Sports Federation and the Vietnam Aviation Sports Association as an internationally ranked tournament named in the list of international competitions FAI.
