Previously, to enter the center of Nam Ban commune, you had to go through the Nam Na river and follow the people's livelihood trail to reach the commune.

In the past, people's lives only depended on farming and growing rice in a nomadic and nomadic way; outdated customs and practices; People's awareness is still limited. From 2012 onward, Nam Ban commune did not have electricity to the national grid. Commune centers and villages had to use kerosene lamps for lighting. Primary and secondary schools lack facilities, lack of classrooms, sometimes students live in boarding schools, teachers who teach tutoring at night have to light kerosene lamps.

But now people have access to the national grid. From the investment sources of the State and the contribution of the people, 700m of internal roads, 2km of inter-village and inter-commune roads have been hardened. Many models of raising chickens, ducks, buffaloes and cows in the villages of Pa Pang, Hua Pang, Nam O and Nam Vac and pilot models of new rice varieties: Nghi Huong 2308, Bac Huong No. achieve high economic efficiency. Up to now, the commune has completed 6 new rural criteria including: general planning, rural market, labor rate, form of production organization, education, and roads.

Nam Ban commune has 6 villages with 313 households and 1,725 ​​people. In order to improve people's lives, the commune authorities have directed villages to focus on production, overcome difficulties, repair important systems of works, apply science and technology to cultivation, animal husbandry, disease prevention and control. diseases, care and protection of forests, etc.

Today, the villages of Nam Ban commune at night are lit by lights, television, and children's laughter, showing that warmth is coming to Nam Ban.
